KATY REGNERY
NYT & USA Today Bestselling Author

From New York Times bestseller Katy Regnery comes another timeless tale of love everlasting!

Loosely inspired by the legend of Camelot, Dark Sexy Knight tells the story of dinner theater knight Colt Lane, who meets down-on-her-luck Verity Gwynn on the worst day of her life. Evicted from their home, Verity and her special-needs brother, Ryan, must find jobs or risk being separated. Colt, who is the furthest-possible thing from a white knight in real life, comes to their unlikely rescue, quickly cementing his place in Verity’s heart.

Colt has dark, deeply buried secrets that keep his smile hidden and his eyes down, which has kept people away . . . until he meets Verity, who seems immune to his gruff manners and taciturn ways. The more time Colt spends with her, the more he longs for her sweetness in his life and yearns to be the knight in shining armor she so desperately needs. Certain he will lose her if she learns the truth about his past, he must decide if he can trust her with his yesterday in order to build a beautiful tomorrow.

**Contemporary Romance. Due to profanity, mild violence and very strong sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.**

OMG! Amazing is only one word to describe this book.  Once I started, I couldn’t stop and was awake long past my bedtime to finish this book.  I was drawn in by the mysterious Colt and couldn’t put it down.

This book is sexy, sweet, and everything in between.  Colt and Verity are opposites in every way.  Verity seems always perky around Colt and he is one broody man.  I didn’t think she would ever break down his walls.

Verity has been struggling to raise her special needs brother Ryan after they lost their parents and the only home they have ever known.  I loved the strength she shown, no matter how down on her luck she was.  She loved Ryan so much and just adored him. When they show up to apply for jobs at the job fair, little did they know that meeting Colt would change their entire future.

Like I said, Colt is broody, sexy, and so intriguing.  He works as a knight at the Legend of Camelot medieval dinner theater show and is quite a loner.  He keeps to himself and doesn’t associate with many people at all.  He’s not a relationship kind of guy and I must say I was so irritated with him in the beginning for the way he acted toward Verity.  What a moody man he was, but with Verity’s persistence you actually feel him opening up to her.  But, it sure wasn’t easy and that’s one thing I loved about Verity.  She never gave up on him.

But, Colt has secrets of his own and he thinks when Verity finds out, they will destroy them but he doesn’t realize she is a lot stronger than he gave her credit for. When Verity and Ryan’s luck get worse, he offers to help them and I actually started falling for him myself.  I felt like I could see him being all sad and gloomy and then he started to be happy.  He actually was her knight in shining armor in so many ways.

“I can be your knight, Verity.  I can be whatever you need me to be.”

By the end of this book, I was smiling and it couldn’t have been a more perfect ending.  Colt and Verity ended up being alike in so many ways and the characters surrounding this story were easy to love also.  I liked that Ryan played an important role in this book.  He wasn’t just mentioned and tossed to the side and that’s what I really enjoyed.  It made it more real to see him be front and center with Verity and Colt.  This book is easy to read, very enjoyable, and as usual, Katy’s writing is excellent and their story will make you believe in true love.  I definitely fell for this knight in this 5 star book!
