Excerpt

“Just—Just get in the shower,” he mutters, pulling back the shower curtain.
“Why are you doing all this?”
A pensive look crosses his face. “All of what?”
“This!” I wave my hands around. “Holding that nice old couple at gunpoint, in here with me. All of it?”
His eyes rake over me, and he shrugs. “So you could shower.”
“So you kidnapped a little old couple so I could shower?”
“Yep!”
It’s wrong, so wrong. Yet, I feel my chest tighten with longing and adoration. I like it. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? I can’t help my attraction to him. His stare is cold, his calloused hands rough, but his draw is soft and alluring.  
“You going to get in?” He flicks a brow at me.




If you haven’t read Reign, the first book in this series, don’t read any more of this review and go read Reign immediately!  Reign led to a major cliffhanger and this book picks up right where it ended, so you don’t miss a thing.

In the end of Reign, Zeek and Jillian are on the run, leaving his crazy ass uncle Frank, who is trying to take over Zeek’s club.  Once Frank found out Zeek was seeing a cop, he made both of their lives a living hell.  He was one man that anyone would have loved to see killed off quickly, without a second thought.  I loved seeing Jillian put up quite a fight after seeing Zeek’s dark side and it was sure hard for him to earn her trust back.  Leaving town, they head on their way to his brother Lip’s MC, which happens to be the Devil’s Dust MC from MN’s other MC series.  Yes, what a twist that was and I couldn’t have loved it any better!

“Know that you will forever be mine, Jillian. I’ve never loved anyone before, but what I feel for you, I ain’t just going to let you walk away, baby.”

Lip and Zeek haven’t seen eye to eye on anything and when Zeek and Jillian show up at Lip’s club, all hell breaks loose and I was even worried if Zeek would make it out alive.  After Zeek explains it all and asks for the Devil’s Dust’s help, he knows their help doesn’t come without a price.  But, who could blame them? He had to prove himself worthy of being helped, but didn’t want to reveal who Jillian was because he knew that would be a deal breaker.

Once Jillian is revealed, what an uproar the club is in.  I liked seeing Bull take charge and become the leader he is when he decides to help Zeek but help his club in the process.  I loved seeing Shadow and Bobby, and yes good old sexy Bobby is not without the humor.  I realized how much I really missed these guys.

When they pull together as a team against Uncle Frank, I enjoyed seeing how Lip and Zeek were brought together to face each other to try to work out their differences.  Don’t get me wrong, they won’t be besties anytime soon, but it was good for them to work together and it helped to clear the air for them both.  As Jillian is threatened and secrets are revealed, Zeek knows he will fight for what he wants and that’s Jillian.  She may be a cop, but she’s his old lady.  He will defend her at all costs.

The twists and turns in this book kept it so intriguing that I couldn’t put this book down.  It’s suspenseful, sexy, full of badass men, and has a hot romance all in one book.  Who could ask for anything more?  Not me, that’s for sure.  As with any MC book that MN has written, it’s one you won’t be bored with and you will want to devour it at once.  Zeek in Reign and Mercy is one tough MC president that I fell for and would love to see more of. With that being said, I still had a question by the end but MN wrapped it up well and I give this book 4 stars.
