I have been so hooked on Katy Regnery’s books that each time a new one comes out, I can’t wait to get my hands on it! This book is the beginning of the Story sisters who we met in the previous books in The Blueberry Lane series.

We all know from the beginning that the families are wealthy and can have anyone and anything their heart desires. But, unfortunately for Priscilla Story, she cannot seem to make her father happy. Priscilla is a free spirit and moves from place to place, never settling down. Her father doesn’t understand her at all and wants his daughters to take over the family business. I must say I didn’t like this man from the beginning because he only wanted what his daughters could do for him; he didn’t have a true relationship with them. After finding herself broken hearted and pregnant, she returns home to make a life and finds out she cannot get to her trust fund as she had planned.

Shane Olson works for Priscilla’s dad and wants to move ahead in the business. Unfortunately for him, the only way he can is to marry a Story sister. After trying to date and fall in love with Margaret, Priscilla’s sister, neither of them feel the sparks between them. After finding out Shane is wanting to climb her father’s corporate ladder and she happens to need to be married a year before she can get to her millions, she offers Shane the chance of a lifetime. He can move up and she can get to her money if they can be married for a year. It didn’t seem to be too much begging on Priscilla’s part because Shane has always noticed Priscilla, but knew they were complete opposites.

Well as they say, opposites attract because once they get together, it’s magic between them. They start out slow and get to know each other, but in working up to more, they find a beautiful relationship. Shane begins to see her father’s true colors and starts to second guess his goals and that’s one thing that pulled me into his character. He finds out money doesn’t make you happy, but love does. Priscilla is just what Shane needs to loosen that necktie and relax a little.

As with Katy’s books, they are beautifully written and she gives you just a hint at the other sisters so you can’t help but look forward to their books and see their secrets they are hiding. Katy’s writing is precise and so easy to understand and after reading this 5 star book, I cannot wait to get more of the Story sisters.
