BLURB:

Quinn

I’d say I’m down on my luck, but that’s an understatement. I’m flat on my ass. Homeless, hungry and in hiding with my little sister at the age of twenty-one, I’ve never been so desperate. I’ve hit rock bottom when I get an offer I can’t refuse. Sell my body to save my sister? There’s nothing I won’t do to keep her safe. I make the rules and I’m not afraid to defend myself if this rich guy crosses the line. But once I see beneath his cold, calculating façade, the lines aren’t so clear anymore.

Andrew

She’s an intoxicating mix of tough and vulnerable I’ve never known before. This homeless woman who fits right into my upper-class world is running from someone powerful, and I’ll do whatever it takes to protect her. But Quinn isn’t meant to be controlled, so I’m forced to choose between owning her and loving her. I’ve finally met my match, and I’ll do whatever it takes to make her truly mine.

I recently became a fan of Brenda’s and now I am always excited to read a new release of hers.  His is a different type of book because you have two completely different characters, who have nothing in common.  They are from entirely opposite worlds, but when thrown together make a beautiful couple.

Andrew suffered from a tragic event during 9/11, which forever altered his life.  As he grew up, his heart hardened and he refused to be in any relationship because he felt everyone he loves eventually leaves him.  He was so closed off and guarded his heart from everyone, but who could blame him after what he suffered.

“I love you so deep and so hard that I don’t know how I’ll survive you leaving.” Andrew

Quinn and her sister Bethy have been living on the streets of New York City for over four years.  This poor girl and her sister are true survivors because being on the streets and running from their past is harder than she ever imagined.  She never feels safe, but I loved her for the fact that she always protected her sister no matter what.

When Dawson, Andrew’s assistant, offers her an offer she can’t refuse, she had no idea that her life would change dramatically.  But Andrew, as hard as he tries, can’t deny he starts to feel something more for Quinn than he has ever felt before with anyone else.  Oh, and when Andrew opens his heart to her, I fell in love with him.  He’s sexy, secretive, and quite the charmer.  Once his protective side comes out, he becomes the perfect man for Quinn.  She definitely needs it when trust is broken and she finds herself face to face with her past.  And, what a past it was!  It wasn’t pretty, that’s for sure.

As Andrew and Quinn begin falling for each other, I enjoyed seeing how much it changed both of them.  Quinn began to feel like she could trust someone with her and her sister’s lives and Andrew felt he could trust someone with his heart.  He just knew Quinn was made for him and she was “His” from that moment on.  From the first chapter of this book, I knew I wanted to find out more about Andrew.  Even though he tried so hard to hide it, he had such a good heart.  He proved even more how amazing he was by the end of this book and I just loved him!  This book is one that will draw you in and make you wonder what secrets Quinn was hiding and it won’t disappoint you.  Quinn really changed so much throughout this book and you can tell how she grew from a young girl to a woman.  Their romance is one that will make you believe in true love and this 4 star book is a must read.
