Did you fall in love with The English Brothers? Were you hot for the Winslows? Katy Regnery's New York Times bestselling Blueberry Lane series continues with The Rousseau siblings in Summer 2016!

Jacqueline "Jax" Rousseau is vivacious, rich, smart and beautifulÖbut that doesn't mean she's lucky in love: she's dated doctors, lawyers, actors and politicians who've all managed to end up disappointing her. In fact, she's on a self-imposed hiatus from love when she has an unpleasant run-in with her neighbor's gorgeous new landscaper, Gardener Lenox. Jax is not accustomed to gruff, ill-mannered men that can't be charmed, but when he saves her skin, she realizes that something about Gard intrigues her...and if she can find her way through the armor that surrounds his heart, she might finally find a love that won't let her down.

Ever since I started reading Katy's books, I am always so excited to get a new one, especially one of the Blueberry series.  I've adored every one of these characters and always look forward to her next book.  This book is the story of Jax (Jacqueline) Rousseau and Gardener Thibodeaux.  This is book one of the Rousseau series and book 12 in the Blueberry Lane series and as usual, we get two more loveable characters.

From the beginning of this book, I loved Jax and Gardener.  They are complete opposites in every way but that's one thing that made this book even better. Jax is a free spirit and has plenty of money to do with as she pleases.  She has been in Hollywood producing a movie and seems to have the perfect life.  However, she isn't happy and comes back home to where she feels comfortable.  On the night of her brother Etienne's wedding, she is trying to escape a drunk suitor who is chasing her.  Running across the grounds, she runs into Gardener, who is actually a gardener and is planting flowers in the moonlight.

Gardener is a down to earth, good southern boy, who I immediately fell in love with.  As he comes to Jax's aid, you can tell he wants to get to know her but also knows they would never work together.  He was a police officer who is now a gardener and knows that Jax would never fall for a man like him.  Personally, I think he is one of the best male characters I have read in a book lately.  I don't think there is anything that I didn't like about him.  From the moment he called her Duchess, I think I fell in love with him even more.

Jax decides that after running from the guest at the wedding that she wants to learn to protect herself and who better to teach her than an ex-cop.  Of course, that only makes them spend that much more time together and I love how they started out as friends.  Their relationship grew over time.  It wasn't an insta-love and that’s what I loved about it.

Jax and Gardener think they have nothing in common but they both have broken spirits.  Jax is unhappy in Hollywood and wants to stay in the home she feels comfortable with and you could feel her sadness throughout the book, but the sweetheart that Gardener is comes to save the day when Jax finds herself in a situation she can't control.  I mean, who wouldn't want a good-mannered, sweetheart of a southern man coming to your aid?  Not me, that's for sure.

This book gives you all the good feels that I look for in a book.  It wasn't over-the-top emotional, but such a sweet and tender story.  I enjoyed the French they spoke to each other and it made the book that much sweeter.  They were just the most romantic couple and even though they were both discouraged with their life, together they found the happiness they were looking for and so deserved.  I smiled so many times during this book and I think Jax and Gardener are the perfect soulmates.  Katy's writing continues to get better and better with these in-depth characters she has in every book.  My only complaint is I would have loved it to be longer because I loved Jax and Gardener so much.  If you're looking for a sweet, romantic book that will make you believe in true love, pick up this 5 star book now!
